FAQ
How to choose a paper tube glue model?
Paper tube glue selection depends on three parameters: viscosity, solid content, and applicable yarn tube paper grade. First confirm the yarn tube paper grade and basis weight; the higher the grade and the thicker the paper, the higher the required solid content and permeability. Then confirm the tube winding machine speed; the suitable viscosity range for paper tube glue is 800-3000 mPa·s. Excessively high viscosity causes difficult application and paper slipping. Finally confirm the end use: whether it contacts moisture or needs export, which determines whether a water-resistant model is needed.
Does higher viscosity mean stronger adhesion?
No. Viscosity is an application parameter, not a strength parameter. The suitable viscosity range is 800-3000 mPa·s. Excessively high viscosity causes two problems: difficult application, because the glue is too thick to transfer evenly on the coating roller; and paper slipping, because the glue layer is too thick and dries too slowly. Bonding strength is mainly determined by solid content and formulation.
Is higher solid content better?
No. Solid content needs to match the yarn tube paper grade and winding speed. Too low solid content causes more water and greater drying shrinkage, raising cracking risk. Too high solid content dries too fast and cannot penetrate in time during winding. The higher the grade and the faster the speed, the higher the required solid content.
How to choose between no-dry glue powder and liquid glue?
Three conditions. First, water resistance: choose liquid models if water resistance is needed; DX45 no-dry glue powder does not have water resistance. Second, dosage and logistics: when usage is large and shipping distance is long, powder contains no water and has smaller shipping volume for the same active content. Third, storage period: dry powder is more stable for long-term stocking.
What causes bubbles on the paper tube surface?
Troubleshoot in order. First check the yarn tube paper: whether the batch or grade changed recently; if the grade changed but the glue did not, bubbles are almost inevitable. Second check the glue: whether viscosity matches the current speed. Third check the equipment: whether the coating roller gap and coating amount need recalibration. Do not change glue immediately; in many cases, the problem is actually in the paper or equipment.
What to do when paper tubes crack?
Cracking is usually caused by internal stress from drying shrinkage exceeding the paper tube's capacity. Main directions: whether solid content is too low; whether the yarn tube paper grade matches the glue, using low-grade glue on high-grade paper is a common mistake; whether drying conditions are too aggressive.
Is it a quality problem if glue thickens and dries slowly in winter?
No. Rising viscosity at low temperature is a physical property and is normal. The storage requirement for JinChen paper tube glue is indoor storage at no lower than -4°C; it will not gel or deteriorate. It can be heated appropriately during use. Avoid storing in locations with large day-night temperature differences.
Is it the glue's problem when paper slips and speed cannot increase?
It is likely related to glue viscosity. Paper slipping is usually because the glue layer is too thick or dries too slowly, so the paper layers do not form enough initial tack. Check: whether viscosity is too high, whether the coating roller gap is too large, whether the glue initial tack speed is fast enough.
Can you send samples? How?
Yes, free of charge. Leave the model and usage scenario of the required sample on the website, along with contact information and delivery address. It is recommended to also provide the yarn tube paper grade and basis weight, winding speed, workshop temperature and humidity, and end use. The more complete the information, the better the sample matching.
What is the MOQ, lead time and shipping method?
MOQ is 1 ton or more. For lead time, depending on order quantity, delivery within 3 days is possible; shipping time depends on actual logistics. Shipping is mainly by truck. Freight can be included in the price, or the customer can choose self pickup.
